Kansas City Accident Injury Attorneys Runs 14 Miles to Support the Brain Injury Association of Kansas & Greater Kansas City
May 31, 2010, James and Jennifer Roswold, Heather Lottmann, and Robbie Adams of Kansas City Accident Injury Attorneys, helped support the 23rd annual Amy Thompson Run for Brain Injury on Memorial Day. The run benefits the Brain Injury Association of Kansas & Greater Kansas City in honor of Amy Thompson's memory. The proceeds are used to fund prevention and support of individuals suffering from traumatic brain injury. The run has already raised over $1.5 million dollars since 1988.The run also honored Jake Clough, a young man who suffered a brain injury following a bicycle accident; however, because he was wearing a helmet, he was expected to recover completely. Although he passed away at the age of 15 shortly after the accident, it was for reasons unrelated to the brain injury. Shortly after his unfortunate death, the Jake Clough Headstrong Foundation was created in his honor. The Headstrong Foundation was at the race providing children with free bicycle helmets properly fitted for each child.
James and Robbie each ran an 8K and Jen and Heather each ran 2 miles. Heather also raised money through local sponsors to donate to the Brain Injury Association of Kansas & Greater Kansas City in connection with the run. A big thank you to all of those who sponsored me in the event.
