85 yr-old Lenexa, KS. Woman Killed in Crash Suffered Medical Episode

An 85 year-old woman was killed in a two car collision after she suffered what police are calling a "medical episode". The accident happened at College Boulevard and Ridgeview Road in Olathe, Kansas around midafternoon on Tuesday August 24th. The driver of the second vehicle suffered no serious injury. The elderly woman however, suffered a critical injury and died later at the hospital.

Two Dead, Two Injured in Edwardsville, KS. Collision

Two people were killed and two other suffered serious injury in a two car collision in Edwardsville, KS. on Wednesday August 25th. The accident happened at the intersection at Kansas Highway 32 and 98th street when one vehicle collided with another trying to make a u-turn.

The driver and passenger of the car making the u-turn were killed. The two people in the other vehicle were injured but there was no word how serious their injuries were.

One teenager is dead and two adults were seriously injured in a dangerous rollover crash in Gardner, Kansas on August 24th, 2010. The accident happened at the intersection of 159th street and Four Corners Road when two cars collided. The teen was killed instantly. Two adults involved in the crash suffered serious injury and have been hospitalized where they are listed in critical condition.

Olathe Teen Struck by Motorist Suffers Serious Leg Injury

A teen aged child was struck by a car while walking to school near 151st street in Olathe, Kansas. According to police the accident happened near Olathe South High School. The 15 year-old victim suffered a serious injury to the lower legs. There was no indication as to whether the driver was speeding through the school zone.

Kansas City Concerned Over Ohio Teen Colossal Wreck

A 19-year-old Mason, Ohio teen is in critical condition following a high speed crash near Beavercreek, Ohio along interstate 675. According to Ohio State Highway Patrol, the teen was driving a 1985 Pontiac Firebird when he drove off the left side of the interstate going an estimated 100 mph. The car struck a culvert which launched the vehicle into the air, striking an overpass.

A medical helicopter was called into transport the teen to an area hospital for critical injuries. Southbound lanes of 675 were shut down for 5 hours following the accident and northbound lanes were restricted to two lanes during that same time period. The crash is being investigated by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Nine Suffer Serious Injury in 22 Vehicle Pile-Up Near Columbia, MO.

Wet road conditions caused a 22 car pile up on I-70 near Columbia, Missouri on Friday August 20th. The accident was caused when a Pontiac Grand Prix began to hyrdoplane on the highway before it spun out of control and hit a guard rail. The Pontiac was hit by a truck, which was hit by another vehicle setting off the domino effect crash. Nine people were hospitalized because of serious injury suffered in the crash. As of Saturday, three of them were still listed in serious condition.

I-29 Crash Kills Two; How Safe are You on Kansas City Highways?

Two people are dead following an auto accident on I-29 in Kansas City, Missouri early Sunday morning. According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, the accident happened near the 152 Highway exit. No cause for the accident has been listed. Police didn't say whether or not alcohol was involved.

Driver Fatigue May Have Caused Crash Killing Six and Injuring Three

Six people were killed and three others injured in a 3 car crash along I-80 near Colfax, Iowa. A minivan traveling westbound struck a semi, causing the van to cross over into the eastbound lanes of traffic. The minivan then hit another vehicle, head on. Police officials have reported the driver of the minivan, Do Taw, 19 of Utica, NY may have fallen asleep at the wheel causing the accident. Four passengers riding in the minivan were killed, including a 6-year-old child.

The 41-year-old driver of the eastbound vehicle and his 16-year-old passenger were also killed in the accident. The driver of the minivan and two other passengers in the van were transported to an area hospital for treatment. One passenger, a 14-year-old victim, was reported to be in critical condition.

Crash on K-10 kills one; hospitalizes two more with serious injury

One person is dead and two more are in the hospital after a tragic crossover accident on K-10 near DeSoto, Kansas on Thursday. Police say the accident was caused when a woman driving a car in the eastbound lanes went across the median and collided with a FedEx truck traveling west on the highway. The woman was killed instantly, while a passenger in her vehicle as well as the driver of the truck were both seriously injured and rushed to a nearby hospital.

The accident shut down Kansas Highway 10 for several hours.

Death in Oak Grove Attributed to Carbon Monoxide

Authorities made a horrifying discovery Tuesday when they were called to a home because a suspicious odor. Police arrived at the fourplex home in the 100 block of Northeast Dogwood Street around 6:30 p.m.

Oak Grove police discovered a lethal amount of carbon monoxide in the home of the neighbor that had called in the report. When they expanded their search to other units in the fourplex they discovered the body of a teenager, the granddaughter of the woman that owns the home. The grandmother, described as a woman in her 60s, and another teen, a friend of the granddaughter, have both been hospitalized.

Police discovered a car running in the garage with the garage door closed. The car belongs to the woman. Authorities are trying to determine whether or not the car was accidentally left on. Investigators have not yet spoken to the two survivors.
