12 year-old Boy hit by car in Kansas City seriously injured

A 12 year-old boy suffered serious injury when he was struck by a car at 34th and Warwick in Kansas City, Missouri.  The accident happened in the evening hours on Tuesday September 14th.  According to Kansas City police, the boy suddenly ran out into the street and the driver was unable to avoid the collision.  The boy was taken to a Kansas City hospital where he is undergoing treatment for his injuries.
