13 year-old Suffers Critical Injury in Bicycle-Auto Accident Near Lawrence, Kansas

A 13-year-old suffered serious life threatening injuries after being hit by a car while she was riding her bike along East 1500 Road and North 1100 Road which is just south of Lawrence, Kansas.

According to members of the Kansas Highway Patrol, the girl was riding as part of the Lizard Under the Skillet Bike Ride, which is organized annually by the Lawrence Bicycle Club. Reports indicate the girl failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a pick up truck containing a 46 year-old driver and a 19 year old passenger.
