2 Injured in Motorcycle Crash, One Victim Hit Twice

Two people were injured when their motorcycle rear-ended a Jeep around 10:35 p.m. Saturday night along I-435 near N.W. 120th Street. Daniel Burge, 19 and Zachary Elder, 21 were traveling on the motorcycle when it struck the jeep. Both Burge and Elder were thrown from the motorcycle. Elder suffered a second blast when he was struck by another Jeep as he was lying in the roadway.
Both young men were taken to an area hospital for treatment. According to the Highway Patrol Elder was wearing a helmet, while Burge was not. The drivers of the Jeeps were not injured.
