8 year-old Olathe, KS. Boy Seriously Injured in Dog Bite Attack

An 8 year-old boy was hospitalized last week after suffering severe injuries in dog biting accident. The dog attack happened on August 26, 2011 near the 200 block of South Chester Terrace in Olathe, Kansas.

The child suffered serious injuries to his arms and legs during the attack. The dog has been described as a boxer/shar pei mix. The boy was taken to Children's Mercy Hospital. His injuries are not considered to be life threatening.

The dog was taken to the Olathe Animal Shelter pending an investigation. According to the Olathe Police Department, this is the second known biting accident involving the same dog.
