Atchison, Kansas Teen Killed in Single Vehicle Motorcycle Crash

Last week, a 16 year-old Atchison resident was killed in a single vehicle motorcycle accident. The Kansas Highway Patrol reported the fatal motorcycle accident happened on northbound Sherman Road when the teen motorcyclist lost control of the motorcycle and crashed.  He died at the scene.  Officials have confirmed the teen motorcyclists was wearing a helmet as well as protective eye gear. No other vehicles were involved in the accident and KHP is investigating to determine what caused the rider to lost control of the motorcycle.
