Bells Sports and CPSC Re-Call Full Face Helmet for Head Injury Risk

Recently, Bell Sports in joint effort with the United States Consumer Products Safety Commission, has recalled over 31,100 full-face bicycle helmets in the United States because of legitimate head injury hazards. The dangerous product recall was announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the product recall on May 31, 2011.

This dangerous product recall, which does affect Kansas and Missouri, was issued after discovering a problem with the plastic buckle connecting the chin straps which can fail, causing the helmet to come off the person's head. This poses a severe head injury risk to riders if the event of a bicycle accident that could throw them from the bike.
Check your bicycle helmet for the following information--

• Part and model numbers: 1003825/035011898025, 1006714/035011917719.
