Bike Helmet Helps Protect 4 year-old Boy Injured in Accident in Family Driveway

A 4 year-old boy suffered minor injuries while playing in the driveway when a pick-up truch began rolling and rolled over the boy's head. The young man was wearing a protective bike helmet and managed to escape free of serious injury. The helmet was broken into eight pieces, one of them lodged in the boy's head. He was treated for minor injuries and is expected to be okay.

The child injury accident happened in Urbandale, Iowa when a toddler accidently knocked the truck into neutral and the truck began to roll. Neighbors witnessed the whole thing and went running when the truck was rolling toward the boy, who was unable to get out of the way. Only the strap of the bike helmet remained but the boy is okay.
