Car Loses Control on Curved Section of I-70 in Topeka, Kansas

A 46- year old Topekan man lost his life in a fiery crash on I-70 a few weeks ago. Christopher Ginzel, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident after his sport utility vehicle burst into flames near the curve on westbound Interstate 70 between the S.W. 1st and S.E. 3rd streets in downtown Topeka. He died as a result of burns he sustained crash.

Although the cause of the accident is unknown, many speculate that the curve in the roadway is to blame. The SUV first hit the south median, then crossed both westbound lanes and struck the north median, where it came to rest and burst into flames on I-70. Luckily no other cars were involved in the accident.
