Collision in Pettis County, Mo. kills one, seriously injures another

Early this morning in Pettis County, Mo. an accident in which a fertilizer truck collided with another car proved fatal from one victim and seriously injured another. The accident happend around 6:30 this morning on Highway 50, just outside of Smithton, Mo. The injured victim was air lifted to a nearby hospital for emergency medical treatment.
The accident caused Pettis County officials to close down a good section of the highway while the wreckage was cleared away.
