Detroit Doctor Sued For Misdiagnosing Hundreds of Kids with Epilepsy

A Detroit Michigan doctor is facing charges of medical malpractice after a law suit was filed alledging the doctor has misdiagnosed hundreds of children with severe neurological disorders such as epilepsy over a span of several years. Dr. Yasser Awaad was named in a law suit along with Oakwood Hospital in Detroit.  The law suit claims Dr. Awaad not only misdiagnosed hundreds of child patients but also prescribed un-needed medications and performed unnecessary procedures including implanting numerous children with devices designed to prevent seizures.
