Douglas County Man Seriously Injured in Homemade Fireworks Accident

A Douglas County man was seriously injured in an explosion on Tuesday June 28, 2011 in an accident that is being called a possible fireworks accident.  According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office the 31-year-old victim was hospitalized with severe burn injuries. The accident took place at the man's home in Baldwin, Kansas just east of Lodestar Lake. Police believe the man may have been making his own fireworks.
