Early morning multi- vehicle accident sends one man to the hospital

Early this morning, a multi- vehicle accident ended up sending one man to the hospital. The accident, which occured just before 6:00 a.m., happened when a car ran a red light at the 23rd street intersection near Interstate 435. The hospitalized victim, an off duty police officer, was treated for only minor injuries. There were no injuries reported after the accident, which involved at least four vehicles.
