The Wright Egg Company has recalled over 380 million eggs because of a possible salmonella contamination. The recall includes several states including Kansas and Missouri. The eggs are being sold under the labels Lucerne, Albertson's, Mountain Dairy, Ralph's, Boomsma, Sunshine, Hillandale, Trafficanda, Farm Fresh, Shoreland, Lund, Dutch Farms and Kemp.
If you are concerned about your egg purchase check the carton for one of these plant codes: p1026, p1413 and 1946.
You are able to return the eggs for a refund but according to the director of the Food and Product Safety Campaign, the eggs can be eaten if you hard boil them.
"Any doubt about the eggs in the fridge, you can bring them back for a refund if they are one of the recalled," said Food and Product Safety Campaign director Jean Holloran said on the recall. "But in general, if you hard boil them, you'll kill any bacteria. If you have any doubt, you can hard boil the eggs."
