Elderly woman crashes car into Fairway, Kansas business

No injuries were reported from an accident at a Fairway, Kansas frame store after an elderly woman drove her car through the front window of the store.  A witness to the accident, Steve Scharf was working inside Fairway Frames when the Chrysler jumped the curb and smashed into the face of the building.

The car was driven by a 92 year-old woman, who apparently got the gas pedal confused with the break.  Shcarf told auhtorities she was still pressing the gas even as the car crashed to a halt against the wall of the shop.  Police did not believe the woman had suffered a medical episode and that she simply got the pedals confused.  No one was injured in the crash and no citations had been given.
