Fatal Crash on I-69 in Overland Park Kills 2, Injures 3

Two people were killed in an early morning crossover car accident on I-69 near 143rd Street in Overland Park, Kansas on November 14, 2011. The accident occurred around 6:15 AM and involved three vehicles, reported to be two pick up trucks and a sports utility vehicle. Three others were seriously injured in the crossover crash and have been hospitalized. The surviving victims include an adult, a 7 year old and a 4 year old. The 4 year old is listed in critical condition at this time.

Kansas Highway Patrol members are investigating the crash at this time. The fatal crash shut down a significant portion of I-69 in Johnson County for several hours.
