Fatal head crash on I-35 in KCK may have been caused by drunk driver

A 67 year-old man was killed in a head on collision with a car driven by a 39 year-old woman on I-35 in Kansas City, Kansas on Sunday November 28, 2010.  Members of the Kansas Highway Patrol were called to the scene of the accident, which happened on the north bound lanes of I-35 near the 7th street exit.  Apparently the woman entered the highway going the wrong way and slammed into a taxi cab head on.

The driver of the taxi was killed.  The woman driving the other vehicle was hospitalized with a serious but non-life threatening injury.  KHP believes alcohol was involved in the accident, which is now under investigation.
