Fatal Tractor Trailer Accident in Topeka Shuts Down 470

Interstate 70 in Topeka KS. was shut down for almost an entire day following a fatal tractor trailor accident near downtown. The crash happened just before 5 a.m. Tuesday October 25, 2011. The crash caused the spilling of hot asphalt oil from the rig's tanker and pulled down an overhead sign. The driver of the truck has identified the driver as 57-year-old Paul Cardwell.
