Four Seriously Burned when Semi-Truck Rear-Ends SUV in Wichita, KS.

Four men were suffered serious burn injuries after the SUV they were riding in was rear-ended by a semi-truck on the Kansas Turnpike on July 19, 2011. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the trucking injury accident happened when the SUV, which was another SUV suffered a tire blow out, forcing the driver to slow down. An approaching semi-truck was unable to determine the speed of the SUV and hit the trailer from behind.

The force of the collision caused the fuel tank on the semi-truck to explode. The four men inside the SUV suffered serious burn injuries. All four passengers were rushed to the hospital. Two of them were listed in critical condition. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured in the trucking accident.
