Hearing Impaired Pedestrians Struck by Car in Olathe, Kansas

Three people were seriously injured in a pedestrian accident that happened late Tuesday evening in Olathe, Kansas. All three of the pedestrian accident victims were hearing impaired. The injury accident happened around the 400 block of Park street in Olathe on Tuesday January 17, 2012. Reports from the scene indicate the victims included an elderly man and two woman. Police say the hearing impaired man was helping the women to their cars after leaving the Deaf Cultural Center in Olathe.

Police have also confirmed the accident did not happen in a pedestrian crossing zone and that it is a simple case of an accident on all parties involved.
