Hit-And-Run Crash Causes Serious Injuries to Victim

Police are looking for the driver of a white Lincoln Navigator that was involved in a crash around 8:45 a.m. Saturday morning near 19th and Vine in Kansas City, Missouri in the historic Jazz District.  Police were running radar in the area and when they attempted to stop the SUV, which was driving erratically.  The driver immediately sped away.  The SUV then hit another car and left the scene of the accident. 

Shortly after the car wreck, police received a report from the owner of the SUV that it had been stolen overnight, but returned to the owner with a dent in the front end.  Police are questioning the owner of the vehicle.

The 26-year-old man from the other vehicle was taken to an area hospital and is in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.  His name has not been released.
