Hyundai Sonata recall will affect Kansas City

The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration has announced that there will be Hyundai recall beginning in October.  The recall is specific to the 2011 Sonata and is related to a problem in the steering shaft that could make it difficult or impossible to steer or control the vehicle while in motion.  Over 139,000 vehicles are involved in this dangerous product recall.

To find out if your Hyundai Sonata is involved in the recall, check your vehicle's manufacture date located on a sticker on the driver's side door jamb.  If your vehicle was produced between December 11, 2009 and September 10, 2010 notify your Hyundai dealership immediately or call (800) 633-5151.  You can also contact the NHTSA's hotline at 888-327-4236.
