Infant Killed in Shopping Cart Accident Involving Car Seat

A three-month-old was killed on September 20, 2011 in Macon, Georgia after his car seat from a grocery shopping cart. Reports from the scene of the tragic accident say the infant was secured in the car seat but was not secured to the cart. As the mother was pushing the cart across the lot she hit a speed bump which caused the carrier to fall over.
The infant was rushed to Coliseum Northside Hospital and later transferred to The Medical Center of Central Georgia and later passed away due to the severity of injuries.
