Johnson and Johnson and McNeil Health Care have issued a product re-call for twenty-one Tylenol products for adults and children because of a possible contamination. The re-call, which is the eighth for the company in the past year, includes Tylenol Extra Strength, Tylenol PM, Children's Tylenol Meltaways, Benedryl Allergy Ultratab Tablets and Motrin IB products, among others.
The re-call was issued because traces of metallic particles and dangerous chemicals and bacteriea have been found in some bottles of the re-called products. So far no illnesses have been reported and the re-call is a precautionary measure. However, due to the ongoing problems with Tylenol products, a criminal investigation is possible.
In 1982, a contamination of bottles of Tylenol pain killers resulted in the death of several people.
If you or someone you love has been injured by a defective product in Kansas or Missouri, contact trusted Kansas City Defective Products and Product Liability Attorney James Roswold today for a free consultation.
