Kansas City Construction Worker Rescued After Falling into Sewer Line

A construction worker being lowered into a manhole fell when the harness snapped and became trapped in a sewage line in Raymore, Missouri on October 12, 2010.  The worker was swept along the line, traveling nearly a mile before he was rescued.  He was found near the 15th hole of the Creekmore Golf Course.  He was suffering from hypothermia and had possibly ingested sewage.

"We traced the sewer system trying to find him," one of the rescue workers told KCTV-5 news in Kansas City. "We had crews converging from the north and the south. We found him near Lake Creekmoor down a manhole cover."
