Kansas City Parents: USCPSC recalls 1,500 Circo Child tents

On December 7, 2010, the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission and Target stores issued a dangerous product recall on over 1,500 Circo Children's Space Camp Combo packs.  These pop up tent playsets have been recalled because the floor of the tent poses an extremely dangerous flame hazard which could pose threat of serious injury or death to children.  According to the manufacturer, the tents did not pass standard safety flame check tests.

In a statement, the CPSC recall offered up details for the dangerous product tent recall:

“The recall involves one model of the Circo Space Combo pack, which includes a children’s tent, sleeping bag, backpack and a headlamp. The tent is green and dark blue with planets, stars and figures printed on it. The packing box has the UPC number: 490911500926, DPCI: 091-15-0092. The product was sold exclusively at Target stores nationwide and online at www.target.com.”

For further information concerning the recall, consumers can contact Target at (800) 440-0680 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, or visit their website at www.target.com.
