Kansas City School Bus Crash Sends 29 Students to Hospital

Twenty-nine children were injured and hospitalized with injury after a school bus collided with a truck last week.  According to Kansas City police, the accident happened in Poplar Bluff, Missouri when a 80 year-old man driving a pick-up truck ran a red light and hit the bus around 6:45 a.m on Monday March 14, 2011.  There were 29 students on board the bus and all of them were taken to a local hospital for treatment, although none of the injuries were listed as being any thing other than minor.

The elderly man who caused the accident and the 50 year-old bus driver were also hospitalized but there was no indication as to the extent of their injuries.
