Kansas City Woman Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident

A Kansas City woman was seriously injured when she was involved in a hit-and-run auto accident last week. The pedestrian injury accident happened on April 24, 2011 around midnight at 67th and State Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri.

According to members of the Kansas City Police Department, the driver of the hit-and-run vehicledid stop after the accident to assist the woman. Officials have determined the driver was going at least 40 mph at the time of the crash.  The woman was taken to the University of Kansas Hospital. It was unknown if her condition was life threatening.
