Kansas City Woman Seriously Injured in Wrong Way Crash with Semi-Truck on I-70

A Kansas City woman was seriously injured in a wrong way head-on collision with a tractor trailer last week. The near fatal trucking-automobile accident happened around 3:40 a .m. on Monday July 4, 2011 on I-70 near Wyandotte and Broadway.

Police received a call from a motorist claiming someone was driving down the wrong way of Interstate 70 but were unable to get to the wrong way driver before she crashed head on into a semi-truck. The serious injury car accident shut down lanes of the highway for several hours for investigation and clean up..

The truck driver suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries in the accident.
