Kansas Man Hospitalized with Serious Injury after Near-Collision with a Deer

Last week in Lansing, Kansas, a man was hospitalized after a serious injury accident caused when the driver went off the road and hit a tree after swerving to miss a deer.  The accident happened on Kansas Highway 5 around 1:30 a.m. about a half mile from Tontine Road.  He was wearing a seatbelt but there was no indication if alcohol was involved in the crash.

The 22 year-old accident victim suffered back and neck injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
