A 38 year-old man was arrested in Seattle after fleeing a hit and run accident last weekend. According to the Seattle Police Department, the hit and run accident happened just before 11 p.m at Martin Luther King Jr. Way south and South Orcas Street. Reports indicate the collision was called in by the injured victim. Police searched for the man and finally caught up with him. The man ditched his vehicle and fled on foot, leading to a foot pursuit.. He was arrested after initially resisting arrest.
The man was charged with driving under the influence and first-degree negligent driving as well as obstruction of a police officer. The hit and run victim was hospitalized with serious injuries but is expected to fully recover.
