Man Flees Kansas City Car Accident, Leaves Behind Injured Passenger

Kansas City Police have arrested a man who was attempting to flee the scene of a single vehicle car accident that happened near Blue Ridge Boulevard and Red Bridge Road in KCMO early morning on Tuesday November 15, 2011. According to reports from the crash scene, the car struck a mail box at a residence and flipped over. The driver attempted to flee on foot but was arrested.

An unidentified woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was critically injured in the accident and has been hospitalized.

Police are investigating the crash to determine if the driver was under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs.
