A firefighter was killed during a training exercise in Cambridge, Minnestoa on Tuesday May 24, 2011. Authorities say the accident happened as the training was completed. 35 year-old Chip Imker fell while training for rope-rescue techniques and plummeted about six to eight feet onto the concrete floor at the fire hall.
The Hennepin County medical examiner's office ruled Imker's cause of death as blunt-force trauma. The work related death has been ruled an accident.
