Mother and Daughter Killed in Kansas City Drunk Driving Accident with 18 year-old Motorist

Kansas City, Missouri was the site of a tragic drunk driving accident that claimed the life of a 44 year-old mother and her 11 year-old daughter on July 4, 2011 around 8:30 a.m.

According to police the fatal accident, which happened on I-435 was caused when an 18 year-old motorist, under the influence of alcohol drove the wrong way on the Kansas City highway and collided head on with the victim's vehicle. It has been reported the drunk driver had a blood-alcohol content level that was more than double the legal limit.

The 18 year-old suspect was hospitalized with serious injuries sustained in the wrong way drunk driving accident. His BAC is reported to have been .185 percent at 10:30 a.m., which would have been about two hours after the crash. In the state of Missouri, the legal limit is .08.
