Motorcycle, 2-Car Crash Kills One, Injures Others in Kansas City

An accident in Kansas City, Missouri at 23rd Street and Cleveland has caused the death of one and injuries to four others.  The accident occurred around 2:50 p.m. on Monday afternoon.  According to authorities a car and pickup truck collided at the intersection after one of the drivers ran a red light.  The crash caused the pickup to flip, killing the driver.  The truck landed on a motorcyclist who was stopped at the intersection, severely injuring the rider.

The car was heading west on 23rd Street, while the truck was heading south on Cleveland.  The motorcycle was stopped at a red light at eastbound 23rd Street.  According to police the motorcycle rider was badly injured, but expected to live.  All three women in the car suffered serious injuries due to the accident.
