Motorcycle-SUV collision in Kansas City sends one man to hospital

A 50 year-old man is in the hospital, recovering from injuries suffered in a motorcycle-SUV collision on Thursday October 7, 2010 in Kansas City, Missouri.  According to Kansas City Police, the accident happened on NW Cookingham Drive and Robin Hood Drive around 10:30 p.m.  No fault has been determined at the time of the news release but reports indicate that the motorcyclist was trying to pass the SUV when they hit each other.

The motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital with a serious injury, although he was wearing a helmet.  The driver of the SUV was not injured.
