Motorcyclist Killed in Accident with Tractor

An accident involving a tractor and a motorcycle ended in the death of the motorcycle rider on Sunday around 2:30 p.m.  The accident occurred in Miami County in the 25000 Block of Old Kansas City Road. 

The motorcyclist, 53-year-old Mitchell Ketzner and his passenger were traveling northbound on Old Kansas City Road on a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle when they came upon a tractor.  Ketzner attempted to pass the tractor on the left at the time the tractor was making a left turn into a driveway.

Ketzner's motorcycle hit the side of the tractor, killing him.  The female passenger, whose name has not been released, was taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Centerl for treatment.
