Motorcyclist Seriously Injured Following Wreck Into Car

James M. Surber, a 25-year-old Raytown man, was seriously injured after crashing his motorcycle into a car Tuesday night around 10:35 p.m. Mr. Surber was westbound on Missouri 350 Highway when he rear-ended a 2001 Hyundai driven by a 37-year-old Smithville woman. Mr. Surber was thrown from his motorcycle and was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Hyundai was not injured. The motorcycle was totaled, and the Hyundai had extensive damage. Charges are pending the results of an investigation in this case.
