Neighbors Believe High Speed Limit Reason for Recent Auto Injury Accidents in Raymore, MO.

A drunk driving accident on the 4th of July involving three cars sent seven people to the hospital with serious injuries. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol the alcohol related injury accident happened around 1:30 a.m. on 58 Highway at Prairie Lane in Raymore, Missouri.

Reports indicate a 19-year-old Raymore man was driving a Poniac in the westbound lane when it rear ended another vehicle, a Ford Mustang, causing it to lose control and go off the road. The Pontiac then struck another car, a Dodge. Seven people were injured, indlucing the driver of the Dodge, a 17-year-old boy from Pleasant Hill, and his two passengers, an 18-year-old Pleasant Hill man and a 17-year-old girl from Harrisonville, were taken to area hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Ponitac was hospitalized and charged with DUI.

While the Missouri Highway Patrol believes alcohol was a major factor, neighbors feel the biggest problem is a speed limit through the area which may be too high for the road.
