Nursing Home Resident Killed in Stairway Accident

A resident at a nursing home in Queens, New York died in a tragic accident that happened on December 4, 2011. Police are currently investigating the fatal nursing home accident in which a wheel-chair bound resident fell down several flights of stairs. As the investigation is just now gettin started, details are light. But witnesses say that the door that leads to the stair well is supposed to be locked at all times.

The death is being called an accident and authorities have no reason to believe that foul play is involved.
