One dead, another injured after single vehicle crash in Kansas City

A single vehicle accident in Kansas City, Missouri claimed the life of one person and sent the passenger to the hospital with life threatening injuries according to Kansas City Police.  The accident happened on Saturday October 23, 2010 on Cogan Drive and 28th terrace court.  Reports from the scene of the acciedent indicate the driver was speeding and lost control of the vehicle.  The car struck a tree, killing the driver and injuring the passenger.  It is unclear if alcohol was involved in the accident.
