Paramount Pictures is being sued for negligence after an actress suffered a serious head injury while filming the latest installment in the Transformers movie series. A Chicago woman suffered a serious head injury while working as an extra during a stunt on the set of Transformers 3. Gabrila V. Cedillio, who was driving her own vehicle, along with 80 other cars and trucks on a highway in a scene being shot with several vehicles being used for the film.
The accident happened when one the stunt progressed and one of the "Transformers" were lifted off the ground for an action shot. A cable came detached from the vehicle causing the mount to hit Cedillio's vehicle, smashing her windshield and hitting her in the head, causing a traumatic brain injury.A lawsuit was filed on behalf of Cedillio citing negligence on the part of the film makers employed by Paramount Pictures.
A lawsuit was filed on October 5, 2010 in the Cook County Circuit court.
