A crash in Ray County occurred just past midnight early Monday morning. According to Missouri Highway Patrol, the accident happened when the driver and passenger were arguing in the vehicle as they traveled along Missouri Highway 13, just south of Route J.
The driver, Heather M. Brown, 27 and the passenger Rodney S. Williams, 40, both of Higginsville, were arguing when Williams grabbed the wheel from the driver. Williams forced the vehicle off the road towards a grassy median. Unfortunately, the 2007 Jeep hit an embankment, causing the Jeep to overturn several times, ejecting Williams.
Both Brown and Williams were taken to an area hospital for treatment. Brown's injuries were described as moderate, while Williams' injuries were considered serious.
