Two people have been hospitalized after a serious injury accident caused by a SUV going the wrong way on a major highway and colliding with a tractor-trailer. According to Kansas City Police, the tragic trucking injury accident happened early on Monday July 4, 2011 on I-70 near Broadway in the downtown loop.
An alert police noticed the SUV and pursued the wrong way vehicle, attempting to pull the driver over. The driver of the tractor-trailer was unable to avoid the collision with the SUV.
The female driver of the SUV was extricated from the vehicle and hospitalized with serious and life threatening injuries. The driver of the big rig was also hospitalized.
