Public Worker Killed in on-the-job Accident in Platte County, MO.

A 30 year-old worker from the Platte County Public Works Department was killed when he was hit by an unoccupied pick-up truck which had rolled down the road. The fatal on-the-job accident happened on April 11, 2011 when the worker was trimming trees near 77th and John Anders Road.  The victim, identified as Justin Hartman, was struck by a Ford F-350 that had begun to roll down the road in neutral.  The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
