Rollover Crash on Missouri Highway 71 Kills Driver

Monday afternoon at approximately 12:25 p.m. a car accident occurred on 71 Highway, near Highway 58, when Terry Stutts, 52, of Peculiar, Missouri lost control of her vehicle crossing the median.  The car she was driving rolled several times, landing in the southbound lanes of 71 Highway.  Stutts was killed in the crash.  She was not wearing her seat belt.

A 10-year old passenger in the vehicle was injured and taken the Children's Mercy Hospital for treatment of injuries Missouri Highway Patrol described as moderate.  The 10-year old was wearing her seatbelt. 

The southbound lanes of 71 Highway were shut down until 2:30 p.m.
