SMW Teacher Being Investigated Seriously Injured in Miami County Car Crash

Overland Park police have confirmed that a woman involved in a single vehicle injury accident yesterday in Miami County is Michelle Preston, the Shawnee Mission West teacher accused of engaging in an improper relationship with a student at the school.

Preston was severely injured when she lost control of her vehicle on 247th street and drove off an embankment around 4:00 p.m on Monday March 7th, 2011.  She was air lifted to a hospital for treatment on serious injuries.  Her condition is unknown.
