TBI Treatment in Kansas City

The U.S. Department of Defense has sponsored a new report released by The Institute of Medicine that shows that there has been Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) recovery progress when using Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapy (CRT). The report's main goal is to lay-out a research agenda to overcome the inadequacies and challenges that limit the understanding of different forms of CRT in people affected by TBI.

Around 10 million people worldwide suffer from some form of TBI or other. The use of CRT could make a big difference in treating these people, but the CRT technique used depends on the problems a patient is suffering from. Researchers need more clear ways for practitioners to submit data about the therapy used to treat TBI in patients and the outcome.
