Teen Injured in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident in Olathe, Kansas

In Olathe, Kansas this morning, a 14 year-old girl was involved in a hit-and-run accident outside Olathe East High School. The pedestrian-child injury accident happened on Thursday May 12, 2011 as the girl was crossing 127th Street. She was hit by a car traveling east.  The teenager suffered injuries that were not expected to be life threatening.

According to Olathe Police, the driver of the vehicle originally continued to drive after hitting the girl but eventually was pulled over in a nearby neighborhood.
